SSP and MMA's series of broker roadshows began in Reading earlier this month.
SSP's broker network, KC Partners, has designed the development days to help brokers develop their SME commercial lines business using its Commercial Connect system.
Chris Moon, senior consultant from Apex Insurance, one of the attendees, said: “It was a very interesting day and it was great to meet the underwriters and KC Partners staff. We are not currently processing a significant amount of commercial business, but are looking to increase volumes, which is one of the reasons for coming to the training day. Seeing the quotes being processed through Commercial Connect was invaluable and now I am back in the office I have been using the portal today for some Shops quotes.”
SSP's insurer relationship manager, Adrian Coupland, commented: “Both SSP and MMA are fully committed to helping our customers embrace electronic trading for commercial lines business, so we can ensure a competitive advantage and efficient service. The personal lines market is now traded in a highly efficient manner enabling insurers to keep their cost base low and we want to help insurers through the deployment of commercial lines distribution solutions to replicate those trading efficiencies we have delivered in the personal lines market.”
