Broker launches new brand for three year tie-up with Wigan Athletic
Smart & Cook has joined forces with Premier League side Wigan Athletic in a three year deal that will see the broker create a bespoke package of insurance services for fans.
Utmost Insurance, a trading name of Smart & Cook, has been specially created in a joint venture with Interbuild, a building industry contract service provider, to provide deals on home and car insurance for Wigan fans.
The agreement also includes renaming of Wigan’s East Stand as the ‘Utmost East Stand’.
Marshall Sugden, Smart & Cook’s deputy managing director, said: "Utmost Insurance aims to bring great insurance deals for football fans by providing home and motor insurances specifically for the terraces. As a result of the association we are in fact creating a unique insurance club of our own. By combining our own experience with that of Interbuild we have created a powerful insurance alliance which will benefit all policyholders."
