Cost review judge threatens anti-fixed cost solicitors
Court cost reviewer Lord Justice Jackson has hinted the small claims limit for personal injury cases could be raised if there is no deal on fast-track fixed costs, The Law Society Gazette reports.
The magazine describes his threat as a warning to the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers (APIL) after they walked out of talks on extending fixed costs to ‘fast track’ claims, which are worth up to £25,000.
