Two new roles created for Jonathan Walker and Mike Newman
Towergate has promoted Jonathan Walker to managing director of its retail division, reporting to deputy group chief executive Amanda Blanc.
Walker was formerly divisional chief operating officer for Towergate Retail. In the new role Walker will have day to day operational responsibility for Towergate’s retail broking businesses with over 80 offices across the country.
Mike Newman has been appointed chief information officer of Towergate Partnership, reporting to executive director (operations & IT) Max Carruthers. Newman was formerly IT director for Towergate Partnership and will assume direct responsibility for technology and to deliver technology transformation across the group.
Towergate said the changes "reflect the continuing development of its strategy and succession planning."
Jonathan Walker said: “I’m delighted to be given this opportunity at such an exciting time in the Towergate journey. We have a very strong set of people in place across all of our broking businesses and are in good shape to grow significantly over the next few years“.
Mike Newman said: "IT will play a critical role in our ability to continue our business growth and improve the service we provide to our brokers and customers.
Towergate chief executive Andy Homer added: “These promotions recognise the significant leadership responsibilities that both Jon and Mike have within Towergate and I congratulate them on their appointments."
