Household and MPPI insurance provider Select & Protect has launched a bedroom-rated home insurance product as part of its Ultima range.
Select & Protect chief executive Simon Hood said the company had been working closely with Norwich Union to develop the product, called Median.
He said the company was seeking to introduce a policy for higher net-worth customers and advisers later in the year.
“Bedroom rated policies are not new to the market but at Select & Protect we recognise the ever changing needs of the advisers in the run up to regulation and the introduction of this new policy will ensure we are delivering a rounded proposition for them to make the choice,” said Hood.
“We urge advisers to carefully review their existing providers of insurance in order that they are offering these same choices with the back up of a secure underwriter.”
