The Private Members’ Bill on introducing compulsory motor vehicle insurance disc is to have its second reading in the House of Commons today.

The Bill calls for an amendment to Article 6 of the Road Traffic Act 1988, to require drivers to display a disc certifying that they have third party insurance cover.

It was introduced to Parliament by Andy Burnham, the Labour MP for Leigh.

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.
