Insurance solutions and services specialist The Rubicon Corporation has launched an outsourced personal lines service for brokers.

It said the new service was geared to increase the profitability of broker's personal lines business and enhance their relationship with these customers. It said the service was particularly well suited to commercial lines and scheme-focused brokers.

Rubicon said it would provide a bespoke white label service, tailored to deliver a service consistent with and complementary to the broker's own brand identity and values.

The new product would offer commercial brokers the advantage of maximising their reach into their personal lines customers through cross-selling product add-ons, said the company.

“As the major composite insurers and supermarkets battle it out for volume business, it's going to get harder for brokers with important, but non-core, books of personal lines business to get competitive rates to pass on to their customers,” said Rubicon joint chief executive Bradley Brandon-Cross.

“More importantly, they face growing pressures on their time and resources and naturally want to focus efforts on their core business.

“Our new service provides an immediate and professional personal lines broking capability, able to both generate sales and provide full administrative support, while accessing highly competitive rates through our panel of insurers.

“I would also stress that Rubicon will not be buying their books of business, simply managing them to drive profitability.”
