Emerging markets underwriting director Hayley Robinson replaces Greensmith
RSA’s UK director of global speciality lines Paul Greensmith has left to join Lloyd’s insurer Catlin as a co-chief underwriting officer for its London underwriting hub.
RSA has appointed Hayley Robinson, currently underwriting, claims and reinsurance director for RSA’s emerging markets business, to replace Greensmith.
Greensmith worked at RSA for 17 years – he joined the insurer’s graduate training scheme in 1997. He will become co-chief underwriting officer for Catlin’s London hub alongside Jonathan Gale, who has been promoted internally.
Robinson returned to RSA in 2013 after 18 months at rival insurer Aviva as personal lines chief underwriting officer. Before that she led RSA’s Latin American underwriting and claims business for five years.
RSA UK commercial managing director Jon Hancock said: “I’m delighted to announce that Hayley Robinson has been appointed as Director of our UK Global Specialty Lines.
“Hayley’s appointment demonstrates our commitment to succession planning and I’m pleased to have been able to fill this important role with a strong internal person, with a great knowledge of and track record in global specialty lines.
“I look forward to working closely with Hayley and know she will be a great addition to our UK commercial executive team.”
Commenting on Greensmith’s arrival at Catlin, chief executive Stephen Catlin said:”Paul’s strong record of achievement at RSA makes him an ideal candidate to join Catlin’s leadership team.”
