Award ‘special’ because it was voted for by brokers
Adrian Brown accepted the General Insurer of the Year award on behalf of RSA at last night’s Insurance Times Awards.
Brown, RSA UK and western Europe chief executive, said the award was made “even more special” because it had been voted for by brokers.
Judges praised RSA’s strong focus on keeping operating costs competitive combined with innovation in products to please core customers and brokers.
“That’s the most important thing, because it’s the customer that counts, so for brokers to award it to us makes this more special than any of the ones we’ve got previously. I’m really chuffed,” Brown added.
“We’ve been working really hard on our service propositions so hopefully people are seeing us as being much more trading oriented: much more back on the front foot, trading with brokers, trading our commercial business locally. Hopefully that’s all coming through and that’s why they’ve given us the award.”
Looking to 2014, Brown promised there was “more to come and more work to do” as the company looks to improve on its performance.
