RSA has appointed Rob Flynn as the new managing director of its More Than direct brand.
He takes over from Phil Wilson-Brown, who is leaving to return to his native Australia to take a job at Australian insurance group IAG.
Flynn, who has worked for RSA since 2009, will start his new role on 1 August. He will lead More Than and be a key member of RSA’s personal lines leadership team.
He has held several roles ay RSA, most recently director of intermediated retail, national broker and marketing for the insurer’s UK personal lines division.
He will report to UK personal lines managing director David Coughlan.
Coughlan said: “[Flynn’s] strong track record throughout his time at RSA will be invaluable as he helps lead the More Than business to even greater success.
“I would also like to take the opportunity to thank Phil Wilson-Brown for the significant contribution he has made to More Than and RSA during the last 12 years working within the international division, at group, in Scandinavia and most recently as managing director of More Than here in the UK.
“Phil will be leaving More Than in great shape with a clear strategy, strong brand, solid financial performance and real traction around the transformational activities we are undertaking.”
Flynn added: “I am really excited to take on this new role and help develop our More Than business. I am looking forward to working with a fantastic leadership team and the wider More Than team on one of the UK’s most innovative and forward thinking insurance brands.”
