Former Axa strategy director, Wai Au has resurfaced as UK finance director at rival Royal & SunAlliance, writes Alaric Nightingale.
Au will take up her new role from November 15. Hers is one of a number of moves within the RSA board. John Sidwell, the company's current UK finance director has resigned "to pursue new interests".
Meanwhile, IT director Angela Baart and human resources director Chris Evans, have been appointed to the UK board with immediate effect.
RSA's UK chief executive Paul Atkinson said: "I would like to thank John for his contribution to the company and wish him well for the future. Wai has an excellent range of experience in financial management and strategy and I am confident that she will make a real contribution to the UK board and the value of our business going forward.
"The appointment of Angela and Chris to the UK board underlines the vital importance of technology and people to the future of our business."
