Dominic Hagger to drive growth of international business.
RFIB Group, the international Lloyd’s insurance and reinsurance broker, has appointed Dominic Hagger to drive the group’s expansion of its international non marine insurance business.
Hagger joins from Arthur J Gallagher UK, where he is currently deputy chief executive officer, reporting to David Ross.
The news follows Gallagher's purchase of Heath Lambert's Global Business Solutions unit, GBS earlier this month. 19 staff, including chief Martin Emkes, joined the broker for an undisclosed sum.
Hagger will work alongside Hugh Champion, who joined RFIB in December 2007 to develop the group’s non marine global risks insurance operations.
Champion, managing director of RFIB's Speciality Division, Non Marine said: “RFIB has already seen significant growth in speciality insurance areas such as kidnap and ransom, fine art, personal accident and professional indemnity. Bringing Dominic’s expertise into the group will further broaden the range of specialty lines in which we can perform.”
Patrick Holcroft, RFIB group chief executive, said: “The appointment of Dominic marks another major step forward in RFIB’s drive to focus on the development of its wholesale, as well as reinsurance, operations.”
