Weston-Super-Mare-based Regency Insurance Brokers has acquired rival local broker RT Moore.
Regency said it would be retaining the RT Moore name for the acquired business.
All RT Moore are to be offered positions within Regency, said managing director Jerry Wakefield. The offices of the two firms will be integrated.
Wakefield said: “This acquisition reinforces our commitment to providing a local service at a time when some brokers are withdrawing from the market, particularly in the personal lines sector.
“This expansion consolidates Regency's position as one of the region's leading independent brokers.”
