RBSI swoops for new personal lines boss

RBS Insurance has appointed Tom Woolgrove as managing director of personal lines.

Woolgrove will begin the role in April, reporting in to RBS Insurance chief executive Paul Geddes. He will be responsible for household and life, motor, pricing and underwriting.

Woolgrove is currently managing director of UK private banking within the Lloyds Banking Group, with responsibility for private banking and wealth planning across their UK businesses.

Prior to this, Woolgrove was managing director of HBOS General Insurance with responsibility for all personal lines insurance, as well as chairman of the ABI property committee and member of the ABI general insurance committee.

Paul Geddes said: “Tom is an excellent addition to our team and his specific experience in personal lines insurance will be invaluable as we drive a joined-up strategic agenda across the Personal Lines categories.”
