Royal & SunAlliance (R&SA) will talk to charities in the next month in a bid to improve its Sector 3 insurance product.
The insurer will consult 10 small-to-medium sized groups to find out what "added value" can be included in the specialist product for charities and not-for-profit organisations.
Gary Johnson, customer development manager at R&SA, said: "R&SA has an opportunity to talk to [charities and voluntary organisations] to dig down and find out what the issues are."
Sector 3, which currently includes employers' liability, personal accident, trustee liability and legal expenses insurance, is offered through 12 partner brokers.
Peter Fix, head of strategic development at the Associa-tion of Chief Executives of Voluntary Organisations, said: "There is a clear opportunity for an insurance company to position its brand as being the insurance for charities."
