Crawford and IFI to take over new and existing caseload
Royal & SunAlliance (R&SA) has announced it will transfer the handling of subsidence claims to two specialist subsidence management companies, InFront Innovation (IFI) and Crawford & Co.
The decision to transfer these claims follows an extensive review of the subsidence process, and will apply to claims from both R&SA and its direct insurer, More Th>n.
Under the terms of the deal, the majority of new claims and work-in-progress will transfer to IFI and an element of new claims will move to Crawfords, plus the retention of any current work-in-progress.
The changes will result in around 30 roles being transferred to IFI from R&SA.
Adrian Brown, chief operating officer at R&SA, said: "We're always looking at ways of improving our service.
"Subsidence claims can be very technical and require specialist skills. By working with the experts in this field at IFI and Crawfords we can develop a solution for handling subsidence claims that will improve the experience for the customer and ensure we are achieving best-in-class settlement costs."
Commenting on the deal, Hassan Sadiq, chief executive of IFI's parent company, The Innovation Group, said: "We are delighted that such a major insurer as R&SA has chosen us to handle its subsidence claims – an area in which we have great expertise."
