Royal & SunAlliance has purchased an Irish insurer.
The €25.2m (£17.3m) cash acquisition of EGI Holdings will "create a platform on which to drive profitable growth", according to R&SA's chief executive, Simon Lee.
Lee added: "We have a strong business in Ireland and a track record of delivering profitable performance."
