The Kings Street office will house a team from R&Q Commercial Risk Services, part of R&Q’s MGA arm.
The new office will be headed by R&Q Commercial Risk Services director James Wheddon, and R&Q underwriters Marek and Ted Rusinek have also joined the team.
It will specialise in commercial combined, property owners, contracting and package lines.
R&Q MGA chief executive Nicholas Hales said: “The opening of a new office in Manchester is a demonstration of the group’s commitment to develop a leading MGA platform.”
