Revenues for RAC Financial Services jumped 28% to £3.2m, said the company in its financial report for 2003.

It said its new broker panel business for motor insurance, RAC Insure, "overcame the operational difficulties experienced in the first half of the year and is making steady progress".

The Group's legal practice, RAC Legal Services, saw revenues up 27% to £10.3m and profits up 36%. Work in progress doubled, with approximately 4,300 cases at year end. Policyholders grew by 18% to 2.1m, further increasing its share of the motor legal expenses market, said the company.

Chief executive Andy Harrison said 2003 was the best year yet for the company, with pretax profit up 24% to £86.7m.
