QBE strengthens TMT offering

QBE has made four new appointments to its technology, media and telecommunications (TMT) team.

James Tuplin has been appointed to the role of portfolio manager and will lead a team of five underwriters as they seek to grow QBE’s TMT book of business. 

Reporting to Grant Clemence, head of professional and financial lines, Tuplin joins QBE having held several senior roles at both Zurich and, most recently, Allianz Insurance.

Tuplin is joined by Andrew Lewis, Daniel Fletcher and Jennifer Quinn, who will serve as underwriters.

Lewis and Fletcher join from AIG and Hiscox, respectively, while Quinn is promoted after eight years at QBE.

Lewis previously served as a TMT underwriter, and will be responsible for deepening QBE’s offering and product range. Fletcher has seven years’ experience in technology PI, and he will write technology and telecoms business in his new role.

Quinn will have a primary focus of developing QBE’s media account, in addition to writing tech and cyber.
