Insurer opens new Toronto office
QBE is opening an office in Toronto to enhance the business it writes through Lloyd’s for the Canadian commercial insurance market.
The Toronto team will led by general manager David Edgar and will develop new business from the Canadian market, which will continue to be underwritten through Lloyd’s.
Currently, QBE provides a range of commercial insurance products to the Canadian market, including: general liability; professional liability; financial lines; marine, marine energy & inland marine; construction all risks; aviation; kidnap & ransom; political risks & terrorism; bloodstock & livestock.
QBE said itis also looking to expand its offering to the Canadian insurance market and, particularly, to increase its SME E&O business.
