Primary Group has reorganized its Retail Broking division. The Bermuda-based distributor has integrated its recent broker acquisitions, Vega (commercial) and Lorica (employee benefits) into the division.
The group has consolidated its compliance, finance, IT and HR functions at Lorica's Hampshire base. Vega's Bristol office has been closed and the broker's former managing director, Bob Screen, has left the group.
David Battle has left AXA to join Primary Group as managing director, commercial business and employee benefits.
Christopher Claridge-Ware, chief executive of Primary Group's Retail Broking division, said: “I am delighted that David is joining us at this exciting time in our development. He brings a unique skill set drawn from his senior roles within AXA which will underpin our ambitious growth targets for both our commercial business focus in Vega as well as our employee benefits business in Lorica.
“Through this restructure, we have created a significant opportunity to both enhance the service and portfolio we can offer to our customers as well as increase our customer base.”
