City is 'integral' to Willis growing in the UK
Willis group chairman and chief executive Joe Plumeri opened Willis's new office in Birmingham, a city which the broker claims is 'integral' to growing in the UK.
Willis has moved to the biggest office letting in Birmingham’s Jewellery Quarter this year at the landmark 40 St Paul’s Place.
Speaking to clients and employees at the office opening, Brendan McManus, chief executive of Willis UK & Ireland, said: “The new office will be a fantastic place for our clients and associates to interact. The move illustrates the success of our business in the Midlands and our commitment to Birmingham, a city that is an integral part of our UK growth strategy.”
Situated in the city centre, the new 10,000 sq ft office will be home to 50 Willis staff.
Speaking about the location for Willis’s operations in the Midlands region of the United Kingdom, Richard Waltier, branch director of Willis Birmingham, said: “Willis has been established in the Jewellery Quarter for over 10 years and we were keen to remain at such a prestigious, central location, but our business had overgrown our prior office space."
