New corporate personal accident and travel insurance facility sees Crispin Speers poaches
Oxygen Insurance Managers (Oxygen), the London intermediary’s managing general agency operation, announced today the launch of a corporate personal accident and travel insurance facility that plans to target corporate employee benefits business.
The Lloyd's backed facility is led by Brit Syndicate 2987 and headed by Duncan Bassett. Duncan is joined by Emma Fitzgerald and James Smith.
A further team member will join later in the month. All of them are moving from Crispin Speers & Partners. The team will specialise in the flexible benefits arena and will work with employee benefits consultants to provide insurance solutions for personal accident and group travel products.
Commenting on the company’s strategy, Sian Fisher, Managing Director of Oxygen Insurance Managers said: "The corporate flexible benefits market requires a high level of service and customer support. This is very much in line with Oxygen’s capabilities. We see strong growth potential in combining Duncan and his team’s wealth of market knowledge and experience with our operating model.”
Human capital is recognised by global businesses as their main asset, but also one of their main operating risks. The results of a two-year survey of senior executives published earlier this year by Economist Intelligence Unit, showed that loss of personnel, skills shortages and succession planning issues are regarded as a major operational risk.
Commenting on the role of flexible benefits, Sian Fisher said: “The need to retain and incentivise quality employees, at all levels, is a priority for every business sector. Companies are responding by developing complex benefit packages that give staff access to a range of services. Flexibility and innovation are the key components of these offerings.”
Oxygen Insurance Managers provides employers, public and product liability, specialist property, cargo and specie and extended warranty and gap facilities
