Users of system edges closer to 200.

Footman James has signeda major development contract with broker solutions provider, Open GI.

In a statement Open GI said the development, which includes enhancements to Footman James’ existing Open GI core back-office platform and e-commerce offering, would increase the number of users on the Open GI system to 189.

Specialist motor broker Footman James was bought by Aon in January last year. In the same month, it inked a deal with Open GI.

Managing Director Paul Matthews said: “As we continue to develop our product range and work on new initiatives it is imperative that we have an up to date IT system that can handle the increasing amount of business.

“By partnering with Open GI we know we have a solutions provider we can trust and with the latest upgrades it will be easier to access and report on information from our core back-office solution. This development is crucial as we drive the business forward.”

Simon Hughes, Sales & Marketing Director at Open GI added: “It is encouraging to see that Open GI technology forms a significant part of Footman James’ future plans. Our enhanced product offering is continuing to generate a lot of interest from the market.

"As e-commerce and bespoke developments become increasingly popular and prevalent with brokers then so will our focus to deliver such products.”
