Onlyinsurance to launch online PMI product

A new online private medical insurance proposition is to be launched by aggregator Onlyinsurance.com.

The City-based company plans to transform the PMI market by introducing a proposition which aims to offer customers the best deal on a variety of PMI products from its extensive panel of providers.

The PMI offering will be the latest addition to its existing portfolio of insurance products, and follows a predicted rise in demand for PMI over the next few years.

Ian Hall, head of personal lines at the Only Group, said: “We’ve already got a diverse panel of providers for the product launch with some popular products offered from leading names such as BUPA, AXA-PPP and Freedom Healthnet."

“The market for PMI is set to grow significantly over the next few years, especially with NHS waiting lists ever increasing. He added: "Unlike other insurance products such as travel and motor insurance that are widely available online with easy access and freedom of choice, web-based PMI providers have been scarce."

Onlyinsurance.com’s forthcoming online facilities will enable the company to offer its clients the cheapest rates available on the market in the quickest time possible.
