Transport and logistics company Ryder's is protecting its vehicles against theft by fitting Global Telematics' Orchid vehicle tracking system to 30 of its rental and contract hire vehicles.
Orchidtrak.com can pinpoint the location of a vehicle to an accuracy of five metres in real time via the internet.
If the pilot proves successful, the Orchid tracking system may be rolled out throughout Ryder's entire fleet.
