Norwich Union (NU) has donated £100,000 to the Princess Royal Trust for Carers to help 1,500 carers and their families have a free holiday.

The families will holiday at the Pontin's Holiday Centre in Blackpool during National Carers Week from 8 - 15 June.

The carers rewarded will include 30 of NU's own staff.

Five staff have also volunteered to help with the week's activities, which will include salsa classes, Indian head massage and T'ai Chi.

NU's head of sponsorship and community, David Czerwinski, said: "The Princess Royal Trust for Carers plays a crucial role in recognising the work of voluntary carers and we are delighted to support the Trust, contributing an annual £100,000 for the next three years."
