Norwich Union said it was to offer bigger courtesy cars for its motor policyholders.

The insurer said customer feedback had indicated that the standard size courtesy car, a class A three-door vehicle, was causing inconvenience for customers, particularly those with families.

NU said it was now offering class D five-door cars with a 1.6 litre engine as an option for policyholders.

NU Direct customers can choose whether to have a class A or class D courtesy car option at the time of taking out the policy.
