Customer support work automated so jobs must go

Norwich Union is cutting 34 jobs in its customer support team, the Norwich Evening News reports.

It quotes an Aviva source saying: “As part of this restructure, 34 roles are being made redundant, although nine redeployment roles have already been identified.”

The customer support team is spread across several locations, including Norwich, Bescot, Bristol, Worthing, Liverpool, Perth and Bishopbriggs.

The company would not say where would be most affected but workers will told on Thursday, 12 March. The roles are being automated.

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.

Hosted by comedian and actor Tom Allen, 34 Gold, 23 Silver and 22 Bronze awards were handed out across an amazing 34 categories recognising brilliance and innovation right across the breadth of UK general insurance.
Many congratulations to all the worthy winners and as always, huge thanks to our sponsors for their support and our judges for their expertise.
