Former Amlin cargo chief joins Syndicate 2007
Novae Syndicate 2007 has appointed Keith Nichols to head up its specie and cargo units.
Nichols, who joins Novae on 12 May, has spent his 30 year career underwriting specie and cargo with Amlin. He said:
“I am looking forward to settling down at Novae and seeing what additional business we can produce for both Novae and the subscription market.
"One positive aspect of the current highly competitive market is that more business is in circulation as producers strive to ensure they have the most suitable cover for their clients. This may open up opportunities for Lloyd's to write business traditionally placed in local markets."
In a statement Novae chief underwriting officer, Peter Matson, added that Nichols' appointment demonstrated the Group’s ability to attract the most experienced and talented underwriters in the market.
