Chief executive says he is impressed by the culture the new recruit created in his former role
Berlin based insurtech Wefox has hired Nicholas Walker as its new chief human resources (HR) officer.
Walker has more than 20 years of HR experience across the technology, fintech and payment industries.
He joined Wefox from online payments giant Paysafe, where he served as chief HR officer for seven years.
In a LinkedIn post today (18 April 2023), chief executive and founder of Wefox Julian Teicke said that he was “impressed” by the culture Walker created at Paysafe and that former colleagues were “enthusiastic about the impact” he had.
In a separate statement announcing his appointment today, Walker said: “I’m excited to be joining Wefox at what is an important time for the continued success of the business.
“I’m looking forward to working with a talented and highly motivated team, in supporting the entire business, in continuing our international growth and taking strides towards profitability.”
Adding experience
During his career, Walker also held HR positions at digital wallet provider Skrill and IT consulting firm Bull.

Teicke said appointing Walker would add experience and talent to its senior leadership team.
He added: “With Nick joining us as chief HR officer, we are not only adding to our experience and talent in our senior leadership team, but also in ensuring we continue to place people and culture at the heart of all that we do.
“I am confident that Nick’s global knowledge, together with his passion for people, will help us realise our strategic ambitions.”
