’His expertise and leadership will be instrumental as we continue to strengthen our position in the market,’ says chief revenue officer
Radius Group has appointed Philip Thorn as the new UK and Ireland managing director for its insurance broking arm.
Thorn, who brings over 15 years of industry experience, joins from Aon, where he was most recently managing director for digital and SME.
Before this, he spent seven years at Hiscox in a range of roles. This includes head of marketing for Europe, head of UK personal lines and head of propositions.
In his new role, he will help strengthen the position of Radius Group’s insurance broking arm in the market.
The division offers a range of policies, including for commercial vehicle and business insurance.
Chris Woolnough, chief revenue officer for emerging business units, said: “We are delighted to welcome Thorn to lead our insurance division at such an exciting time.
“His expertise and leadership will be instrumental as we continue to strengthen our position in the market.”
Expansion
His appointment comes as Radius Group continues to expand its insurance arm’s regional presence.
