Towergate snaps up Swansea-based broker

Towergate Insurance Brokers has bought Clydach-based firm Tony Nakonecznyj Insurance Brokers in order to improve its business offering in Swansea.

As a result of the acquisition, Tony Nakonecznyj Insurance Brokers’s two employees, Gill Langdon and Joanne Phillips, will transfer to Towergate’s site in Swansea, and Nakonecznyj himself will act in a consultant role.

Tony Nakonecznyj Insurance Brokers which was set up in 1984 specialises in insurance products for chapels, leisure parks and commercial businesses. The independent broker also focuses on delivering services for local clientele.

Gary Stevens, area managing director at Towergate Insurance Brokers in Wales, said: “We’re very pleased to have successfully completed this business acquisition and to be able to offer an expanded service for Tony Nakonecznyj’s clients, many of which are local to us in Swansea.
