’His international expertise in business change and transformation make him a key addition to our executive team,’ says chief executive
The Clear Group has appointed Simon Smith as its new group chief operating officer.
In his new role, Smith will be responsible for operations, IT and data, integrations, claims and facilities and procurement.
He will also join the executive board and help the broker deliver on its strategic ambitions.
His appointment comes as the broker continues to grow its executive team. For example, in November 2024, Phil Williams was appointed as group chief commercial officer and retail managing director at Clear Insurance Management.
Smith said: “I am excited to join the Clear team on what promises to be an exciting future for the business and its people.
“Clear has an impressive history and a robust business model and long-term strategy that delivers exceptional services through expertise and care.
“I look forward to supporting Clear as it continues to grow.”
Experience
Smith brings over 20 years of industry experience to the role.
