Insurance Times rounds up the biggest appointments and promotions from 9 to 13 September 2024

Starting off the week, (re)insurance group Chaucer appointed Angus Milgate as its new head of distribution.

Milgate will be responsible for growing relationships and creating new business opportunities for the company.

Then, specialist insurance provider CFC appointed Kathryn Herrington its new chief people officer.

Herrington succeeds Nichola Archibald, who took up the position on an interim basis back in February 2024.

Following this, BMS Group said it had hired Richard Dudley as its new group chief broking officer.

In his new role, Dudley will support the continued build-out of the firm’s London and Bermuda reinsurance platform and help grow its specialty business.

And then, Tokio Marine Kiln (TMK) said that it made an appointment as it announced the formation of a new specialty reinsurance division.

Phil Taylor, who has been appointed as head of specialty reinsurance, will join the business in early 2025.

This week also saw Markel hire Charlotte Harrison as its new head of UK regional broker development.

Harrison will be responsible developing broker relationships and growing Markel’s revenue streams in its specialist markets and lines of business.

And broker Willis Towers Watson (WTW) appointed Colin Dutkiewicz as senior director for its insurance consulting and technology (ICT) business.

Dutkiewicz will be based in London and work to further expand the broker’s capital advisory capabilities.

Rounding off the week, Fidelis Insurance snapped up Jason Kittinger as its new group chief operating officer.

Based in London, Kittinger will be responsible for driving improvement in operational performance and efficiency.
