’While this is me closing one chapter, it’s the beginning of another,’ says chief executive
Ben Davis has announced that he is leaving his role as head of digital assets at Superscript to head up a new business as chief executive.
The startup was launched in August and was co-founded by Davis.
Announcing the move in a LinkedIn post on 14 August, he said: “After five years, yesterday was my last day at Superscript. While this is me closing one chapter, it’s the beginning of another.”
He added: “I’ve learned a tremendous amount about how to run a fast-paced business in an industry that is dominated by legacy competitors, all the while the cards are stacked against you.”

Davis started at Superscript in August 2019 as an insurance lead for emerging technologies and international.

He then moved into the role of team leader for digital assets, before becoming head of digital assets in July 2023.
Prior to Superscript, he was the owner of Coinsight International, a firm that provided material to help evaluate cryptoassets.
Davis urged the industry to get in touch with him as he had “a feeling this next chapter” was ”going to take a village”.
