’The team enhances our specialist underwriting capability and access to the London market’s area of expertise,’ says deputy chief executive

Specialist Risk Group (SRG) has announced an agreement to acquire managing general agent (MGA) Trilogy Underwriting.

Founded in 2013, Trilogy specialises in property and casualty business and supports a panel of wholesale and retail brokers across the UK.

It will sit alongside SRG’s underwriting pillar MX as part of the deal.

“Trilogy will help us expand our footprint at pace in the London market while supporting wholesale and retail brokers and their clients,” Lee Anderson, SRG’s deputy chief executive, said.

“The Trilogy team also enhances our specialist underwriting capability and access to the London market’s area of expertise.”

‘Thrilled’

Led by managing director Chris Blackwell, Trilogy also has delegated underwriting authority from insurers with a minimum of A-rated security.

“We are thrilled to welcome Chris and the Trilogy team to MX,” Anderson said.

Blackwell added: “Joining the MX pillar of SRG brings significant opportunities and benefits for our broker partners and the members of the Trilogy team.

“The enhanced scale and collective experience of MX will enable us to further develop our offering and ensure we continue to support our broker partners with complex property and casualty risks.”
