’It has been an incredibly busy year for the group in terms of acquisitions,’ says chief executive
Seventeen Group has announced that it made four acquisitions during October 2024.
Firms snapped up by the broker include UK and Global, Brian Thompson Insurance Consultants (BTIC), Nelsons and Nairn.
They will join James Hallam, which is Seventeen Group’s broking subsidiary.
The four brokers join a long list of firms purchased by Seventeen Group this year, which includes Keith Miller Services, Hendricks Insurance, Jannard Quadrant, Wiseman Insurance Services, North West Risk Solutions, East Pennine Insurance Consultants (Epic) and Gen2 Group.
The latest acquisitions come as Seventeen Group looks to expand its UK reach further.
Chief executive Paul Anscombe said: “It has been an incredibly busy year for the group in terms of acquisitions, but this reflects the opportunity for us to expand our UK reach and to bring quality individuals into the team.”

Nelsons, meanwhile, is a Kent-based business run by Don and Susan Nelson, while Scottish business Nairn is run by Lynne McSherry and her team.
Anscombe said: “Having a long-term plan for Seventeen Group has certainly persuaded some vendors that we present a good home for their clients and staff.
“This can compare favourably to some alternatives, which may take a small business in a totally different direction via subsequent transactions.”
