The change represents ’our full alignment with the wider business, uniting under one singular, forward-thinking brand’, says broker
Broker MacDonald Group is rebranding after being acquired by Partners&.
Partners& purchased the Scottish firm, which provides business insurance, personal insurance and claims management services, in 2022.
After growing by more than 70% since the acquisition three years ago, MacDonald Group said it would assume the Partners& name, with the change representing “our full alignment with the wider business, uniting under one singular, forward-thinking brand”.
Colin Grant, client service partner at MacDonald Group, said: “The rebrand formally aligns MacDonald Group to the wider Partners& team and the name pretty much sums up what we are all about.
“Our partnerships with clients, insurers and our wide ecosystem enable us to operate in a truly exceptional way.”
‘New chapter’
MacDonald Group was founded in 1978 and has locations in Arbroath, Benbecula, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Inverness and Perth.

Partners& acquired the firm to expand its knowledge and presence in the Scottish insurance market.
The deal also provided MacDonald Group with enhanced infrastructure to grow. The broker said that it was “excited by the prospect of building the best advisory business across not only Scotland, but the UK”.
Looking ahead, the team is forecasting a further 20% growth in the 2025/26 financial year.
Michelle Cook, executive assistant at MacDonald Group, said: “This new chapter as Partners& brings well-deserved recognition to our talented team in Scotland, with many familiar faces stepping into leadership roles, which is so wonderful to see.”
