The announcement came after RSA confirmed a new commercial lines leadership team, which Frost was not included in
RSA’s Cath Frost will be joining Hiscox to become its new UK chief operating officer.
Frost was most recently RSA’s mid-market managing director for UK commercial lines and is set to join Hiscox on 15 April 2024.
The announcement came after RSA confirmed a new commercial lines leadership team following the insurer agreeing a deal to acquire DLG’s commercial lines operations – including the NIG and FarmWeb brands – in September last year.
The team includes five members – Frost had been absent from the list.
In her new role at Hiscox, she will take responsibility for its UK operation, change and service delivery functions.
She will also become a member of the Hiscox UK leadership team.
“I know Hiscox well – it’s a great business with a clear and ambitious strategy that recognises the importance of operational excellence,” Frost said.
“I’m pleased to be joining a business with so much opportunity ahead of it and look forward to working with the teams and building on their success.”
Experience
Frost joined RSA in 2001 and held several commercial and leadership positions.

In her most recent role at the firm, she led a programme of change to transform the mid-market business and enhance broker service.
Frost will report to Hiscox UK chief executive Jon Dye when she joins the insurer.
“We’re excited to have Cath on board and welcome the fresh perspective she will bring, which is underpinned by many years of cross functional experience,” Dye said.
“Under Cath’s leadership, we will continue our operational focus on process maturity, digital evolution and service quality to make sure we are meeting broker and customer needs in the most effective way.”
His career began in 2019, when he joined a local north London newspaper after graduating from the University of Sheffield with a first-class honours degree in journalism.
He took up the position of deputy news editor at Insurance Times in March 2023, before being promoted to his current role in May 2024.View full Profile
