Karim Hirji has been appointed as RSA’s UK and International executive vice president and chief financial officer.
Hirji takes on the role after spending 23 years at Intact, the parent company of RSA.
He was most recently the managing director of Intact’s venture capital arm, a role he held for just over a year.
Other positions he has held at Intact include senior vice president for strategic investments, chief financial officer for Canada and director of commercial lines.
His move to RSA was confirmed on LinkedIn, with his profile page stating that he began his new role in February 2025.
Succession
He succeeds Ken Anderson in his new position, who has held the chief financial officer role since 2022.

In a LinkedIn post, Anderson said he had become the new executive vice president and chief financial officer at Intact.
He has more than 20 years of financial services experience within the insurance sector and is also a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Ireland.

His career began in 2019, when he joined a local north London newspaper after graduating from the University of Sheffield with a first-class honours degree in journalism.
