PremFina’s group chief exec says the creation of an international division will help the premium finance provider meet its ambitious growth plans 

Premium finance provider PremFina has hired Sharon Bishop as its new UK and Ireland chief executive.  

Prior to her appointment, Bishop spent 17 years at Close Brothers Premium Finance - including seven years at the helm as the firm’s chief executive.  

In her new position, Bishop will support PremFina’s founder and group chief executive Bundeep Singh Rangar to spearhead the business’ overseas expansion strategy as it creates an international division.  

Speaking on the announcement, Rangar said: “Our team has built something flexible and fresh, with an ability to deliver quickly and delight customers. I’m incredibly excited about our next chapter with Bishop at the helm in the UK and Ireland.

“The creation of an international division will help us meet our ambitious growth plans and export our model to other corners of the world.

Bishop is a customer-focused premium finance leader with a track record in developing and delivering growth strategies.

PremFina’s proposition includes lending facilities that offer flexible finance for commercial and personal lines, as well as a standalone white label software as a service (SaaS) model.  

PremFina was founded six years ago by Rangar to provide a nimble alternative to incumbent providers.  

Since launch, it has grown to support over 100 brokers - including some of the biggest intermediaries to pay-as-you-drive insurtechs.
