’We look forward to continued success and growth,’ says chief executive
Insurance provider PoloWorks has opened a new office in Cheltenham after increasing its staff by 18% over the last year.
In a statement released yesterday (27 June 2023), the firm said it had taken up an office space in Grange Park, Bishops Cleeve in Gloucestershire.
It came after PoloWorks was acquired by European property and casualty (P&C) legacy solutions and insurance services group Marco Capital Holdings in May 2022.
When first acquired, the business employed 250 insurance specialists across its offices.
A year on, the Polo brand has grown to now have 300 employees at its Cheltenham base and 30 in London.
Chief executive Paul Andrews said: “The office is fitted out to a high specification and it reinforces the quality brand Polo is becoming.
“It is important our workspace is reflective of our aspirations. We are excited to be moving to a new space in Grange Park.”
Growth
PoloWorks is the trading name for Polo Managing Agency (PMA) and Polo Commercial Insurance Services (PCIS).

Since being acquired, the firm said it had “shown significant strategic growth and business performance in the past year”.
In January 2023, it announced strategic leadership changes with Andrews, ex-Beachwood executive with over 20 years’ industry experience, as the new chief executive for PoloWorks and PMA.
Richard Lawson, previously global head of claims for Pro Global, was also announced as the new chief executive of PCIS.
“As we build high value services delivered by talented experienced teams, along with the continued commercial and financial support from Marco, we are predicting a successful start to our second year in business as rebranded Polo,” Andrews said.
“We look forward to continued success and growth.”
