The insurance intermediary starts to action succession planning
Nigel Salisbury, former chief executive of intermediary PIB Group’s specialist commercial lines division, has moved into a new role as chief commercial officer.
Although remaining on the executive team, the swap in positions will enable Salisbury to pursue projects outside of PIB Group over the next couple of years.
Steve Redgwell has been appointed into the vacant chief executive role with immediate effect – he is currently working alongside Salisbury to plan a handover period and get to know PIB Group’s business better.
Redgwell has extensive broker experience, at firms such as Heath Lambert and Aon.
Brendan McManus, chief executive at PIB Group, said: “I am grateful for the transparency that Nigel showed in his long-term ambitions, which enabled me to start a search for his replacement.
“He has played a significant role in helping us build the company over the last four years or so, and I’m personally extremely grateful for everything he’s done for us.
“I would like to wish both Nigel and Steve the best of luck in their new roles.”
