’We look forward to having the team on board,’ says chief executive
Insurance intermediary group PIB has acquired broker St Giles – its second purchase in less than a week.
St Giles specialises in residential property insurance and has offices in London, Ringwood and Liverpool.
In a statement released earlier this week (19 April 2023), PIB said that the company would become a “valuable addition to the specialty division within the group”.
It comes after PIB announced its acquisition of independent specialist insurance broker Pure Risks on 13 April 2023.
It also joined PIB’s specialty division as part of the move.
Speaking about PIB’s purchase of St Giles, Steve Redgwell, PIB specialty division chief executive, said: “We look forward to having the team on board and the new opportunities their business will bring for the group to further bolster our existing products and services.”
’Obvious attraction’
As part of the move, St Giles directors Andy Coulson and Monica Hubbard will become investors in PIB and remain at the helm when the team joins the specialty division.

They said the move was “a very exciting time” for St Giles and were “delighted” to become part of the group.
“We’d like to say a very big thank you to our fantastic team who have been loyal over the years and who have been instrumental in our continued success,” they added.
“Our team remains integral to our future and providing the same excellent service our customers have enjoyed over the years.”
Redgwell added that the directors’ “passion and expertise are an obvious attraction for PIB”.
