’His leadership comes at a fantastic time as we continue to expand our presence in the city,’ says broker
PIB Insurance Brokers has appointed James Tosh as its new branch director for Leeds.
The broker, which is part of PIB Group, has made the move as it looks to expand its presence in the city.
Tosh will be responsible for overseeing the team in Leeds and helping them strengthen client relationships.
In a LinkedIn post announcing his appointment yesterday (5 February 2025), PIB said: “We’re delighted to welcome Tosh as our new branch director in Leeds.
“His leadership comes at a fantastic time as we continue to expand our presence in the city.”
Experience
Tosh joins the broker from Aon, which he joined in 2019 as a client management director.

He took on the role of client director in 2022, a position he has held for the last three years.
Before Aon, he worked at Henderson Insurance Brokers in a range of roles, including associate director and branch director.
Tosh said that “consistently delivering a high-quality service for my clients and ensuring they receive the support and guidance necessary for a smooth and positive experience” is what drives him.
“A high level of professionalism [needs to be] maintained to ensure that policyholders receive the support and guidance they need, particularly when they need their policies to react,” he added.
His career began in 2019, when he joined a local north London newspaper after graduating from the University of Sheffield with a first-class honours degree in journalism.
He took up the position of deputy news editor at Insurance Times in March 2023, before being promoted to his current role in May 2024.View full Profile
