’By joining forces with Partners& we will be able to offer clients, both old and new, a truly unbeatable proposition,’ says managing director
Partners& has continued to expand its presence in the Midlands through the recent acquisition of Beaumont Lawrence and Co last week (30 October 2023).
Founded in 1973, Beaumont Lawrence provides insurance services to clients and is based in Shewsbury, Shropshire.
Partners& chief executive Phil Barton told Insurance Times: “The expertise of the team within Beaumont Lawrence builds on our existing capability in agriculture and contracting businesses, where we have a strong proposition.
“Beaumont Lawrence’s commitment to client care and excellent advice is aligned with our own culture and approach.”
Ben Lawrence, managing director of Beaumont Lawrence, added: “For 50 years, Beaumont Lawrence has prided itself on providing our clients with the best possible, qualified advice and service, believing that if we always put our clients interests first, then success would always follow.
“We are therefore delighted to have found a partner that believes in and practices the same philosophy.
“By joining forces with Partners&, we will be able to offer clients, both old and new, a truly unbeatable proposition.”
Recruitment and acquisition
Earlier in the year (18 September 2023), Barton told Insurance Times that Partners& was looking to grow its business through selective recruitment and acquisition activity where there was a “strong alignment” of culture and values.

“Unlike many of our competitors, our growth strategy adopts a blended approach – partially through the acquisition of talent and partially through M&A,” Barton said.
“This approach has proved very successful and we have attracted a team of incredibly gifted and experienced advisers to combine with our existing team, whilst integrating M&A opportunities to create a single business.”
