The building where Allianz Trade operates was covered in red paint

Palestine Action have targeted another of Allianz’s offices despite the insurer warning of legal action against the group.

This morning (17 March 2025), protesters left Allianz Trade’s office in Manchester city centre covered in red paint, while messages such a “Drop Elbit” were spray painted on the building as well.

Palestine Action say that Allianz is involved in the provision of employers’ liability insurance to Elbit Systems, which manufactures Israel’s drones used by the country’s military to perform targeted military operations.

”We are calling on Allianz to sever all ties with Elbit Systems,” a group spokesperson said.

This comes after the group attacked nine of Allianz’s offices across England, Scotland and Wales in January 2025.

On 10 March 2025, protesters also flew a drone carrying a Palestinian flag above the Allianz-owned Twickenham Stadium during a Six Nations match.

And one day later, protesters scaled the canopy above the entrance to Allianz’s office in Gracechurch Street.

Red paint was also splattered across the building, while Palestinian flags were hung as well.

Allianz warning

Following the protest in Gracechurch Street last week, Allianz said that while it respected everyone’s right to have and express their opinion, it “will not give in to threats and criminal behaviour that endanger the safety or security of our people, business and property”.

“Our business operations and service to customers and partners have not been affected,” a spokesperson from the insurer said.

“We are working closely with the police and we will also be taking independent legal action to address these threats.”

Insurance Times has approached the insurer for comment following today’s protest.
