Palestine Action covered two of Aviva’s offices in blood-red paint in its latest round of insurance-related protests.
The group targeted two of the insurer’s Scottish bases in Perth and Motherwell during the early hours on 28 February 2025.
The group said that protesters spray painted messages such as “Drop Elbit” and broke windows. A video posted on X also shows protesters spraying the windows of Aviva’s Motherwell office.

Aviva provides the legally required insurance for Elbit’s Israeli drone factory in Staffordshire to operate.

Elbit Systems manufactures over 85% of Israel’s drones, including quadcopters, used by the country’s military to perform targeted military operations.
Palestine Action alleged that Aviva provides employers liability insurance for UAV Engines in Staffordshire, a drone engine factory owned by Elbit Systems.
“Palestine Action will continue to target all those who facilitate the operations of Israel’s biggest weapons firm, Elbit Systems, until they cease ties,” a Palestine Action spokesperson said.
Aviva has been contacted for comment.
Other protest
This comes after Palestine Action occupied Aviva’s Bristol headquarters last month, with protesters occupying the office in Brierly Furlong from 7.30am on 22 January 2025.

In a statement, Palestine Action said it had “shut down Aviva” during its protest, which also saw messages spray painted on the front of the glass building.
Following this protest, Aviva said it would not comment on site security matters.
“Colleague safety is paramount and we are actively communicating with our people to ensure their wellbeing,” the insurer added.
